Ideal for young children with language delays, this program provides parents with techniques to enhance their child’s language development through simple, engaging activities at home.
Led by certified a Hanen instructor, both programs focus on teaching parents how to interact with their child in a way that promotes language growth, helping to create meaningful connections and empowering families to support their child’s communication journey.
Who More Than Words® Classes Are For
The Hanen More Than Words® program supports parents and caregivers of autistic children or children with social communication challenges who are struggling with language development. It’s ideal for:

The Hanen It Takes Two to Talk® program is tailored for parents and caregivers of young children with language delays or difficulties. These classes are ideal for:
Parents of children aged 5 and under: Designed for families with young children who are not yet meeting language milestones, whether just beginning to talk or with limited language skills.
Families of children with language delays: For children who struggle to express themselves, understand language, or engage in conversations.

Cost Breakdown for More Than Words® and It Takes Two to Talk® Classes
We believe in providing families with high-quality, evidence-based support at an accessible price. Below is the cost breakdown for participating in the More Than Words® and It Takes Two to Talk® programs:
Program Fee Includes:
8 Weekly Group Sessions: Each session lasts approximately 2-2.5 hours and is led by a certified Hanen instructor. These interactive classes provide parents with hands-on guidance and practical strategies for supporting their child’s language development.
4 At-Home visits: There will be one pre-consultation visit prior to classes starting and 3 individual video-feedback sessions.
Parent Resources: Participants will receive handouts, activity sheets, and access to videos and materials designed to reinforce learning between sessions.
Personalized Support: Parents will have opportunities to ask questions, practice strategies, and receive feedback tailored to their child’s needs throughout the course.
Group Learning Environment: Engage with other parents and caregivers who are facing similar challenges, creating a supportive community for shared learning and encouragement.
Cost Breakdown:
Full Program Fee: $1100 This covers the full cost of all 8 classes, 4 home visits, and the materials provided (24+ hours of training, which is equivalent to $2,800 of individual therapy!).
Home visits can be sent into insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Payment Options:
Pay in full at the start of the program.
Installment payments are available, with two or three installments throughout the course.

HSA/FSA Accepted: We accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for payment, making it easier for families to use their pre-tax funds for therapy services.
Superbills for Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement: We provide a superbill at the end of each month, which includes all necessary details for submitting to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please check with your insurance to confirm coverage for speech therapy services out-of-network.

If cost is a concern, there are grant opportunities that may help cover the cost of therapy services:
United Healthcare Children’s Foundation: Offers grants for medical treatments and therapies not covered by insurance, including speech therapy services. Visit their website for application details.
