Meet Kristina Pickett M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

As a mom of two autistic children, I know firsthand how overwhelming this journey can feel. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting families through it all. With years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where your child can thrive, and where you feel empowered to guide them every step of the way.

“I believe in working alongside parents, using evidence-based practices that affirm each child’s unique strengths. Together, we’ll find the best ways to help your child communicate, grow, and succeed.”

“Today at 3 years old he is engaged with us, responsive to us, enthusiastic and verbal.”

Kristina has been an incredible speech therapist for our son! He is autistic and when she started working with him at 18 months old he didn’t acknowledge us or respond to his name. Starting with the foundations of communication she helped us learn how to form connections with him. Today at 3 years old he is engaged with us, responsive to us, enthusiastic and verbal. I had so much fear for his future when he was 18 months. Kristina gave us skills to build on, guidance and support. She was instrumental in us finding a common language with our son. I highly recommend her!

“We are very thankful to have Kristina!”

Kristina Has been working with my daughter for about eight months and has been nothing but amazing! The way that she connects with my daughter, myself and my family is something that is very special! She meets my daughter where she is and  has given us the tools and skills to help her progress and communicate! She is an amazing part of our team and we are very thankful to have her!

“It is obvious that she really cares about Emrie”

I want to give a GREAT BIG SHOUT OUT to Kristina. Every time she comes she is filled with joy and happiness to see our sweet Emrie. She sings to her a hello song that Em loves. It really sets the stage for a great session. It is obvious that she really cares about Emrie and wants her speech progression to thrive. Her knowledge about how to support Emrie’s language and communication is amazing.  She uses signing, picture support, songs with movement and technology help Emrie with new and effective ways to communicate. We are so grateful to have Kristina on Emrie’s team. Couldn’t be happier!

“He turned into a completely different kid for the better”

We noticed our son had delayed speech and we were so lucky to have found Kristina to help. Not only did she guide us through helping him say his first words and sentences, she also helped us understand and work through the difficult behaviors he had developed from frustration with not being able to communicate with us. Kristina was very effective at communicating the techniques to use and the theory behind them. Our son’s progression throughout Kristina’s sessions was very apparent, and he turned into a completely different kid for the better. We couldn’t be more thankful for Kristina’s help.
